Rural Hospital List
The Rural Hospital list is based upon existing law, a "small and rural hospital" is defined as either 1) a general acute care hospital located in peer group six or eight, or 2) a general acute hospital of no more than 76 general acute care beds located in peer group five or seven, that is also located in an incorporated place or census tract of 15,000 or less population according to the 1980 census.
